Service Description: These data represent a compilation of water data features, put together by the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources (a research division of New Mexico Tech). These data are intended to help inform generalized, statewide water quality questions, and indicate where data may be available. Specifically, these data are intended for informational purposes related to protection of sources of water and planning purposes in that task. The data provided are not intended for legal, surveying or engineering purposes. Please use all data with caution and awareness of their limitations. There are locations with duplicate data or conflicting data at the same locations that have not been resolved. Data displayed here are not all dynamically updated, and locations may not be accurate. Well depths may not be accurate or may have changed, this is especially true for data derived from historical publications (noted in data source fields). Data providers (NMED, NMBGMR, or USGS) shall not be liable for any activity involving these data. For more information on this project contact Stacy Timmons, stacy.timmons@nmt.edu or Cathryn Pokorny, kitty.pokorny@nmt.edu .
